How to select the right Polarity program for you

by Nancy Lehto

Now that you have decided to embark on the journey to Polarity practice, how do you decide where to obtain your training?  Selecting a Polarity program that is right for you will take some thought and consideration.  We have provided a list of questions for you to consider.

Polarity programs are located all over the world. Are you able to travel to a school or are you limited to your immediate area? Do you need a night or weekend program? Do you have daytime hours available? The first step is to identify your travel preferences and time options.

Many people will select a school based solely on location. Is it some place you can drive to? With newer technology and instructional methods, you are no longer limited to just “the closest school”.  With distance education, you may be able to take many theory classes online or via other distance methods.  You would follow those up with hands on training at a Polarity program location.

Will you require financial assistance?  Does the school you are reviewing offer assistance?  Establish your financial resources.

How do you intend to use your training?  Will you need assistance in job placement after the course?  Are you adding to your existing skill set for an established practice? Determine your own goals for the program.

How do you learn personally?  Do you need small classes to learn effectively?  Are you a visual learner or an auditory one? Determine your own learning needs and match a program appropriate your learning style.

Polarity is a very personal skill.  You must feel comfortable in the school and with the staff and other students.  Interview the people involved with the school.  If possible, drop in on a class and observe.  Would you feel comfortable in the room?  Does the school allow you to contact previous graduates?

There are no right or wrong answers to these questions.  They are as individual as your choice of clothing.  But they are critical areas to be considered when selecting a program. Consider all your needs and options before selecting a school to attend.  If you comprise on your decision because of one factor or another you may short change yourself. Prioritize your needs and rate each program you consider.  Select the one that works for you.
